Aug 30, 2023The Inkey List Enters Lip Balm Category with Tripeptide Plumping Formulation

The Inkey List has launched a Tripeptide Plumping Lip Balm that reportedly delivers fuller lips with active skin care ingredients. The volumizing, hydrating and repairing formulation reportedly smooths out fine lines and enhances the definition of the lip contour.
Key ingredients include a collagen-boosting 6% tripeptide complex and 2% of BASF's hyaluronic-acid-delivering Ultra Filling Spheres.
Other key materials include 2% hydrating and nourishing chia seed oil, which is rich in omega 3, 6 and 9 oils, as well as hydrating squalane.
The formulation's repairing actives include 6% cupuacu butter and 3% mango butter to provide relief to sensitive lips while boosting suppleness.
The lip plumping sector has seen a wide range of launches in recent years, including Tarte's Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump, Fenty Beauty's Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper, MoistureGlow Plumping Lip Serum from Makeup by Mario, the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss, Too Faced's Lip Injection Maximum Plump Extra Strength Hydrating Lip Plumper and Lawless Beauty's Forget The Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss.
Further more, Circana recently reported that, in the first half of 2023, lip makeup was the fastest-growing product category across the prestige and mass sectors.
The category has witnessed a rise in skin-care-meets-makeup launches, as seen with Caliray's Socal Superbloom Lip + Cheek Tint Soft Stain Blush.
